Make a contractor invoice in two minutes
Fill in the job, the line items and the terms, and a clean invoice builds itself beside the form. Print it or save it as a PDF to text or email. No account, and nothing is uploaded.
In the print dialog, choose "Save as PDF" to get a file you can text or email. The draft is saved in this browser only; nothing is sent anywhere.
A contractor invoice should show your business name and contact details, the customer and job address, an invoice number and date, each line item with quantity and price, the subtotal, any discount, sales tax, the total, deposits already paid, the balance due and the payment terms. Fill those in here, then print the invoice or save it as a PDF.

Contractor Invoice Generator FAQ
What should a contractor invoice include?
Your business name, address, phone and license number; the customer's name and billing address; the job site; an invoice number and date; line items with quantities and prices; subtotal, discount, sales tax and total; any deposit paid; the balance due; and the payment terms and due date.
How do I save the invoice as a PDF?
Click Print or save as PDF, then pick Save as PDF (or Microsoft Print to PDF) as the printer in the dialog. Only the invoice is printed, not the rest of the page.
Do I charge sales tax on labor?
It depends on your state and the kind of work. Some states tax repair labor, some tax only materials, and rules for new construction differ. Check with your state's revenue department or your accountant, then enter the rate that applies.
Is my invoice data uploaded?
No. The invoice is built in your browser and the draft is stored only on this device, so it's gone if you clear your browser data. Save a PDF for your records.
How long should I keep invoices?
Keep a copy with your business records. The IRS's general rule is three years after you file the return the income is on, with longer periods in some cases, such as at least four years for employment tax records.
Can CrewRobin send invoices for me?
Yes. In CrewRobin you invoice from the job on every plan and send it by text with a pay link; customers pay by card through your own Stripe account, or by PayPal.
