Housecall Pro costs $79 a month for Basic (one user), $189 for Essentials (five users) and $329 for Max (eight users, then $35 a month per extra user) when billed monthly, or $59, $149 and $299 a month billed yearly. CSR AI call answering, Voice, payroll and several other add-ons are sold separately, and most of their prices aren't published.

These are the regular prices on Housecall Pro's pricing page on 30 October 2026. The page also showed first-month and three-month introductory rates and a gift card for booking a demo; we leave promotions out because they change often.

Key takeaways

  • Three plans: Basic $79 (1 user), Essentials $189 (5 users), Max $329 (8 users, +$35 per extra user). Yearly billing saves $20, $40 and $30 a month.
  • Basic already includes online booking, dispatch, estimates, invoicing, payments, consumer financing, a price book, job costing and review management.
  • GPS tracking, routes and QuickBooks Online sync start on Essentials; recurring service plans and route optimization are on Max only.
  • 24/7 AI call answering (CSR AI) is "a paid feature" with no published price. Voice call tracking starts at $45 a month plus overages.

Disclosure: we make CrewRobin, which competes with the tools in this post. Every figure about Housecall Pro comes from the vendor's own public pages (or, where we say so, a dated third-party capture of them), read on 30 October 2026 and linked at the end. Where a price isn't published, we say so rather than guess.

How much does Housecall Pro cost per month?

PlanUsers includedMonthlyBilled yearly (per month)
Basic1$79$59
Essentials5$189$149
Max8, then $35/month per extra user$329$299

Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax. Billed yearly, that's $708, $1,788 and $3,588 a year. Housecall Pro's FAQ says it "does not require long-term contracts", and downgrades take effect at the end of the current monthly or yearly billing period. The page doesn't say whether a yearly plan is refunded if you cancel early, so ask before you prepay.

How does Housecall Pro count users?

Basic includes one user, Essentials five and Max eight. The only per-user price on the page is Max's: $35 a month for each user past eight. So the plan you need is set partly by headcount:

Team that needs loginsLowest plan by headcountMonthly
1 personBasic$79
2 to 5 peopleEssentials$189
6 to 8 peopleMax$329
10 peopleMax + 2 extra users$399
15 peopleMax + 7 extra users$574

If you're one user over a plan's limit, ask whether you can add a user on that plan or have to move up a tier.

What does each Housecall Pro plan leave out?

PlanIncludesNot included
BasicOnline booking, scheduling and dispatching, estimates and invoicing, payments and consumer financing, price book, job costing, review managementGPS tracking, routes, QuickBooks sync, flat-rate pricing, checklist automations, photo reports, commissions, proposals, service plans, route optimization, open API
EssentialsBasic plus routes, flat-rate pricing, checklist automations, photo reports and annotations, employee GPS tracking, commissions, QuickBooks Online syncThe sales proposal tool, recurring service plans, route optimization, open API, dedicated onboarding, escalated phone support
MaxEssentials plus the sales proposal tool, recurring service plans, route optimization, open API, a dedicated onboarding specialist, escalated phone supportNothing listed; add-ons still cost extra

If you sell maintenance memberships, note that recurring service plans are on Max only. If you price by flat rate, Essentials is the first plan with it; the flat-rate price calculator helps you set those prices whatever software you use.

What do Housecall Pro's add-ons cost?

Voice: call trackingFrom $45/month plus overages (500 to 2,500 minute packages)

CSR AI's chat, and Housecall Pro's other AI helpers (marketing, analyst, coach and help), are included on all plans; only 24/7 phone answering is paid. We found no published CSR AI price on its site or help center, and we don't repeat third-party guesses. Get it in writing on a demo.

What does Housecall Pro really cost for a small shop?

ShopSetupMonthly
Owner-operator, no AI answeringBasic$79
Three people who want QuickBooks sync and call trackingEssentials + Voice call tracking$189 + from $45 = from $234, plus overages
Three people who want calls answered by AIEssentials + CSR AI$189 + CSR AI (quote)
Ten people who want service plans and AI answeringMax + 2 users + CSR AI$399 + CSR AI (quote)

The add-ons are where the total moves, so price the plan and every add-on you'll switch on in month one.

Is Housecall Pro worth the price?

Basic is good value for a one-person shop: financing, a price book and review management are on the entry plan, which isn't true of every competitor. Essentials at $189 for five users is in line with the market, and Max adds the tools a maintenance-heavy HVAC or plumbing shop wants.

The catch is the phone. If missed calls are your biggest leak, the fix (CSR AI, or Voice for missed-call text-back) is priced on request, so the headline price isn't the full price.

How does CrewRobin's pricing compare?

CrewRobin, which we make, includes an AI receptionist and missed-call text-back in every plan:

CrewRobin planPrice
Starter$99/month: 2 seats, 1,500 credits a month for AI call time and texts, every feature
Pro$199/month: 5 seats, 4,000 credits a month, every feature
Crew$349/month: 15 seats, 12,000 credits a month, every feature plus job hours on timesheets

Every plan has every feature, including quotes, invoices and the dispatch board; only job hours on timesheets are Crew-only. Plans are month to month with no contract or setup fee, and a plan's price doesn't go up while you stay on it. Yearly billing is 10× the monthly price (two months free). The launch offer is free until your first 10 booked jobs, with no card up front: jobs booked by the AI receptionist or your online booking page count.

CrewRobin has no native mobile app (technicians use a phone-friendly web page), no fleet GPS or route optimization, no QuickBooks or Xero sync, no consumer financing, and its receptionist speaks English only. Housecall Pro has a mobile app, GPS, QuickBooks Online sync and Wisetack financing. The full comparison is in CrewRobin vs Housecall Pro.
